92 from Vinous for our 21 Cabernet Reserve Darkly floral and earthy in all the best possible ways. The 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve wafts up with shaving of blood orange, crushed blackberries, sage and incense. It floods the palate with silken textures and a mix of sweet and sour wild Berry fruits, all guided by fresh acidity as fine-grained tannins mount toward the close. Grenache is one of the most widely planted grapes in the world. It ripens late, so it needs hot, dry conditions such as those found in Spain, where the grape originated. Here in Paso Robles we have a slightly cooler climate. So it is usually one of the last varietals to be harvested, but it‘s certainly worth the wait!

In 2007 there were roughly 100 wineries in Paso Robles, currently there are over 200(To give some scale, there are about 400 wineries in Napa Valley). We’re glad to be one of the first estate wineries in the region, and we’re excited to see what the future has in store! #TBT
